Purple Fusion Graphics, located in Huntington Beach, California, was developed in 2002 by award-winning graphic designer Terri Fassio. Terri brings her artistic expression, and over 20 years of experience in the industry, to the business. She is a founding partner of the successful Connecticut design firm, TnT Typesetting, established in 1990.
Throughout her life, Terri has showed her creativity. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Castleton State College in Vermont, with concentrations in Journalism and Fine Art. During her college years, Terri was an active student, Editor of the college newspaper for three years, and won numerous awards, including Freshman of the Year, the National Humanities Award, the Distinguished Service Award (highest award given by the college), and the prestigious Abel E. Leavenworth Leadership Award. She was nationally recognized for her journalistic skills and college service activities from the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA).
After reporting for the Addison Independent newspaper in Middlebury, Vermont, Terri decided to alter course and pursue her love of art, design and marketing. It was during this time she learned the practical aspects of design and production, under the wing of established Connecticut printer Burton McKay. Terri's skills with page layout and graphics software made her a valuable resource for the local design industry, where her work was recognized with numerous industry awards.
The early 1990's were also an artistic apprenticeship for Terri, mentoring with some of New England's top artists, including renowned artist and designer Joyce Eames Steel. She soon found herself having great fun honing her skills and developing different styles and techniques.
Over the years, Terri has worked for a variety of clients, from nationally known to locally recognized, including Neiman Marcus, Citibank, Ford, ESPN, AARP, and Mohegan Sun Casino. Terri added web design to her palette in 2000, and has since partnered with SkullCo Technology Solutions as their lead web designer.
In addition to serving her clients, Terri enjoys serving the community. Currently she is co-director of the Public Relations committee of the Connecticut State Grange. She was the Entertainment Coordinator for the Connecticut Agricultural Fair, and also headed their marketing and design program for 6 years. Terri is a long-standing active member of numerous non-profit organziations, including the Connecticut State Grange, the National Grange, the Shoestring Theatre Resource and the Little Red Schoolhouse Association. She was listed in "Who's Who of American Women" in 1989, and 1990.
